An update from Striven
Greetings to everyone in the Striven LinkedIn network! We hope you are all finding creative and productive ways to thrive in the current climate.
We wanted to you to bring you up to date with several key changes that have recently taken place at Striven. These changes represent the start of an exciting growth phase at Striven and we believe they will be beneficial to our relationship with all our clients, now and into the future.
Firstly, we want to confirm a change in the leadership of the group. Stuart Roberts has departed Striven to take up an exciting executive sales role with MYOB. Stuart had indicated to the board late last year that he believed that a change of leadership was required to take the group to the next level. To this end, the board appointed Peter Drill to the role of Managing Director - a Chartered Accountant by background, Peter has a long history in the IT sector - having run a major professional services firm, providing services to clients such as Telstra and Optus. Peter also spent over 10 years in the role of Company Secretary and Finance Director of a middle-tier, ASX listed company, undertaking a strategic development role which included business acquisitions and divestments. It is this array of experiences which we believe is ideally suited to growing the Striven Group.
As part of our growth plans, we are on-boarding more customer support staff for Striven, engaging Sales/Marketing experts, and actively recruiting at the moment to increase our development team in Melbourne. We also take possession of our new Melbourne office on 1 June. Based in the Eastern suburbs, the office is a five-fold increase in size, and will allow us to add significant capacity to the business.
Striven has also seen significant success in growing our customer base in recent times. We have just welcomed the ‘Paint Place’ group - covering some 45 sites - and plan to have these stores online before the end of the calendar year.
Finally, we have completed the acquisition of Readysell Computer Systems, and are progressing on a detailed integration of the business.
With the effect of Covid-19 on the majority of businesses across Australia, we are actively discussing the path forward with so many of our customers and wider network. There are things that everyone can be doing to better position themselves to recover and grow as we work our way out of the current situation, and if we can help in any way, reach out and let’s chat. We look forward to catching up with in person once this has passed, and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
